Nihat Çakır: the influence of childhood memories on my career choice
One of the most significant turning points in our lives is choosing a career, and I can attest that my journey was profoundly influenced by my childhood experiences. Growing up in a small town in Bulgaria, my early years were closely connected with nature and surrounded by animals. My grandfather's farm was an enchanting place where life flourished in every corner. The love and care he extended to the animals deeply inspired me from a young age. Whenever I assisted him, I could see the happiness on his face, the light in his eyes, and the pride he felt. When he proclaimed, "My grandson will be a veterinarian when he grows up," I felt immense pride, and my demeanor reflected that confidence. Although I may not have fully understood it at the time, years later I recognized that my grandfather's positive affirmation had planted the initial seeds of my professional destiny.
