The Great Mastitis Debate: advising on dry cow therapy

In August 2024, veterinarians, researchers, advisors, … from around the world gathered in Ghent, Belgium for the 2024 National Mastitis Council Regional Meeting. One of the highlights of the event was a half-day session, The Great Mastitis Debate, hosted by Boehringer Ingelheim. The debate brought together veterinary experts from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Their aim was to provide clarity on intervention protocols during the dry cow period. Conference participants were invited to engage with panelists throughout the by completing live surveys, the results of which helped to shape the conversation.
